poetry fishing

Some people like to fish for sport, I fish for poetry. Since the end of 2008 writing at least one poem a day has become a central part of my spiritual practice. I believe that the seeds for everything that will ever exist are floating in the ethers waiting to be discovered, fertilized and utilized. There is a river of creativity flowing between the manifest and the unconscious. To catch those seeds, I get still, open my mind and pay attention to what flows by and use it to feed my soul.

my brain
makes everything
more complicated
more intricate
more intense
than other brains

My brain
out of sync
a little off track
quicker than most
runs slower
than normal
life with my brain
gets complicated
